SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Solution
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a component of the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence platform that can be used to perform a broad range of data migration tasks. The Automic integration into SSIS leverages the command line API provided by Microsoft to perform batch execution of SSIS packages.
Features
Ideally ETL processes should wait until processes that update source data have completed. But the typical method to scheduling SSIS packages is to use SQL Server Scheduler at specific times when the data "should" be ready. This can result in delays in updating Business Intelligence data and/or incomplete data. This Packaged Solution connects the ETL processes to the business processes already being scheduled in Automic Automaton so that ETL processes start immediately upon completion of the source systems updates and not before. The SSIS solution for Automic Automation allows customers to define complete end-to-end processes with all the necessary dependencies included.
- • Template Job object for SSIS jobs
- • Supports packages stored on local file system, SQL Server File System, or SQL Server Package Store
