JD Edwards Solution for OS400
The Automic RA JDE Agent supports Windows and Linux JD Edwards environments. This Packaged Solution covers OS400 JD Edwards environments.
Features
This solution reads JDE tables for job definitions and creates jobs in Automic Automation, simplifying the job creations. Customers can use the platform's features to drag-and-drop job objects to create workflows with complex dependencies, events and conditions. Credentials stored in Automic are hidden to provide password protection and facilitate separation of duties. The solution can execute JDE jobs in the JDE scheduler with specific and dynamic job parameters, then track these jobs and their children using JDE statuses which will allows customers to track jobs' progress within the Automic Web Interface. Output files can be FTPed to a Windows or Linux system to register and scan to perform additional validation or to extract values for post processing. Once the job is completed, the solution will return the JDE final job status where customers can use Automic’s features for post processing. Post processing options could include: - Sending notification objects on job failure/success - Interfacing with ITSM tools to create incidents - Other job failure resolutions Outputs and logs from job failures can be sent via email to provide job information to IT and Business Analysts. Using Automic’s rich features, our solution has built-in multi-system support. Jobs are stored with special attributes to only execute against specific centralized environment configuration based on countries/companies. Both DB2 and JT400 drivers are supported to query and control executions of jobs on AS400. Customers have the flexibility to use RUNUBEXML for better job and resource control and to use RUNUBE on data conversion jobs.
