Repatriating containers for control and compliance
Achieving more from VMware Cloud Foundation with VKS
Collaboration with Xtravirt helped a UK public sector organisation bring containerised applications back from public cloud onto the VMware Cloud Foundation platform it already owned. Working alongside the customer's own engineers in a secure air-gapped estate, Xtravirt turned included Kubernetes capability into a service teams request on demand.

- Air-gapped estate complicated platform deployment
- Developers wanted richer application-level routing
相关事实与数据
- VKS added at no extra licence cost under VCF 9
- Air-gapped deployment method documented for reuse
- Knowledge transfer left the customer's team self-sufficient
- Customer teams deployed test apps within weeks
成果
- Container workloads brought under the organisation's control
- Containers now hosted on existing VCF, no new licence cost
- Data sovereignty assured for containerised applications
- Platform team can provisions Kubernetes clusters on request
